Alex Hurst is a young English midfielder who we have recently placed at Port Vale FC. He is part of our exciting BKM Next Generation Elite Programme and Port Vale have agreed to send him back to Bradford (Park Avenue) on loan until January 2020 to continue his development. He started his playing career with Crewe Alexandra’s academy, a club renowned for the high calibre of player it produces. During his time with Crewe Alex represented the clubs U18 and U23 sides before leaving at the beginning of the 2018/19 season. At the start of the season Matlock showed interest in Alex and offered him a trial with the side. After impressing throughout the period, Matlock eventually decided to sign him. Alex featured in pre-season fixtures against Derby County, Gresley and Chesterfield and caught the eye of Bradford. By October of the same season Alex had signed with them and has since established himself as one of they best young players in the division. In the summer of 2019 he joined League Two side Port Vale, before being send back to Bradford on loan for the season.
An exciting member of our BKM Next Generation Elite Programme , James Hodges is a goalkeeper currently playing for Hyde United. Stockport born James started his career with the Chester academy. After 2 years with them he moved onto Hyde United just before the 2017/18 season. James spent the majority of the 2017/18 season out on loan with Tadcaster Albion, making 10 appearances. Upon the completion of his loan James returned to Hyde United.
Alex Brown is a left-back currently plying his trade with Buxton FC, and is part of our exciting BKM Next Generation Elite Programme . The young left sided defender came through the junior ranks at Sheffield United. After a short spell at NCEL outfit Hallam he moved to Sheffield FC and represented England C in Dublin the summer of 2018. He joined the Bucks at the start of last season, after impressing in pre-season, and went on to make 48 appearances. He made another England C appearance in June 2019 away in Estonia and has also played for an England representative side in two matches in the Falkland Islands.
Josh Paterson is our newest member of the exciting BKM Next Generation Elite Programme. The centre midfielder, predominantly defensive, can adapt to playing in an attacking role and is currently plying his trade with Witton Albion FC U21’s. Josh originally joined the youth set up at Witton Albion but quickly caught the eye of the U21 management team.
